Local Postal Services Top of the Class11.44.29am BST (GMT +0100) Tue 24th Jun 2008 Post delivered first class in the TW postcode area - covering Twickenham, most of Teddington, Hampton, Whitton and parts of Feltham and Hounslow - has a 90% (89.9% to be precise) chance of arriving the next working day. This was the highest rate in the whole of the UK last year (April 2007 to March 2008). The second most efficient is Kingston (KT) and the third least efficient is SW London (SW) with 80% (79.7% to be precise). Vincent Cable MP said: "Last year, 2007/8, was a bad year for Royal Mail because of industrial action. But it is gratifying to see that, despite Royal Mail's problems, the local sorting and delivery operation is the best in the country. A lot of credit is due to the postal workers themselves. Particularly in the small sorting and delivery offices in Hampton and Teddington there is very good, positive spirit which is reflected in an above average standard of customer service."
